Job Overview
Aramco is seeking a Joint Venture Offtake Specialist to join the Global Optimizer Development Department (GOD). This department is responsible for optimizing crude allocation and operations across global manufacturing facilities to maximize revenue and capitalize on international market opportunities.
The selected candidate will ensure full compliance with offtake and sales agreements for refined products, act as a representative in meetings with joint ventures, and maintain a strong, professional relationship between Aramco and Domestic Joint Ventures (DJVs).
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal departments like Fuels Business Management, Law, and Aramco Trading Company to protect Aramco’s rights as an offtaker and feedstock supplier.
- Represent Aramco in discussions with joint venture refineries and other offtakers, proposing improvements that protect Aramco’s interests.
- Maintain healthy relationships with DJVs by attending meetings, following up on agreed actions, and supporting DJVs when needed.
- Coordinate with Oil Supply Planning and Scheduling (OSPAS) teams for demand fulfillment and lifting schedules.
- Monitor refinery production plans, entitlements, and inventories to ensure optimal utilization and compliance with agreements.
- Provide operational insights into non-standard cargoes and domestic pricing discussions.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Post-graduate education such as an MBA, or experience in Finance or Economics is preferred.
- Strong understanding of refinery sales, planning, and operations.
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in the downstream oil and gas sector.
- Experience in roles such as offtake/sales/contracts specialist, trading, supply optimization, or corporate planning.
- Ability to interpret commercial agreements and solve complex problems in a business context.
